- A (customer): You want to send a parcel (3 kg) abroad. Ask politely: price, how long it takes, whether you need a form, whether you can pay by card.
- B (post office): price €17.50, 5–8 days, customs form only needed outside the EU, card is fine.
Your own task (1 minute, voice message): Call a bank (pretend) and politely ask for an appointment to open an account. Say when you are free and ask 2 indirect questions.
Optional: record yourself and listen back. The recording stays in this tab only and is never saved or uploaded. The microphone is used only after you click.
8 Pronunciation: long words
Build long words from the back (back-chaining): -gung → -tigung → bestätigung → Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. The stress is usually on the first part: BÜRgeramt, ANmeldeformular, STAATSangehörigkeit. But ge-, be-, ver- are unstressed: geBURTSdatum.
